A while ago I put out a call on Facebook to see if there was anyone local who wanted to write with me. To form a writer's group of sorts. And the response was vastly "if I lived closer! if it was online!" and my spirits were a little crushed. Because I wanted that community at my fingertips, to hug and to hold and to look in the eye and to create together.
I let it go. Because I wasn't prepared to create an online something for writers. For community. I knew how much work it would be to start from scratch.
First with Rathi asking me to write over at Oh! My Giggles.
Second with the ladies of Bigger Picture Blogs asking me to come back to work on their Writing Me exercises, and to eventually help with their Writing Circles.
Boom, writing community at my fingertips. Hugging will happen at some point!
The really cool thing though is that Bigger Picture Blogs is celebrating it's second birthday this week. I remember the launch, the excitement we all had as we birthed our baby :) I'm so excited and happy to be back to help celebrate the second birthday of such a phenomenal community of writers, bloggers, creators, women and friends. There are all sorts of exciting things happening over at the Bigger Picture Blogs site this week - a recipe link up for favorite celebratory foods (can't wait to try some new sweet recipes!!) and a collaboration project that will be unveiled on several blogs on Thursday. Such great stuff!
Thank you, ladies. From the bottom of my heart. And to the universe, who knows I need a little nudging sometimes, and saying yes is the first step to all sorts of goodness and adventures and life.

WOW. Corinne. This is really good. I am heading over to check BPB.
ReplyDeleteEverything happens for a reason. It may be cliche, but oh so true. OH SO TRUE. :)
ReplyDeleteLove BPB community! So glad to meet you through them! I'm in MA also - in Woburn. Glad to know another new england blogger!
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog, and congrats on finding a writing community! I am still trying to find mine, maybe it is season of life, but it seems so necessary. Thanks for your great comment! Good to hear a veteran homeschooler who is choosing to homeschool.
